Coconut wax is made from coconut oil. Soft, vegan, a bit creamy, and it carries scent in a way soy sometimes will not. On its own, in a warm room, it can slump like a badly stored chocolate. In a blend with soy, you get the throw without a puddle on a July windowsill.
Why we bother
Pure soy can look chalky and throw quietly. Pure coconut can look luxurious and then sweat in a car. Together they behave in the jars we actually use. That is the whole decision. It is not a superfood. It is a fat with a job.
